James Parker British

James began working with stone at just four years old when he helped repair gaps in the drystone walls surrounding the family farm in Galloway, South-West Scotland. This sparked an interest in stonework which would eventually become his passion and career.

In 2007 he created his first stacked slate sculpture, building on the techniques and skills gained as a young boy. In 2008 he held his first exhibition and since then has exhibited many times including thirteen years at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

James’ portfolio has grown over the years to include glass, bronze and mirror polished stainless steel with sculpture ranging from desktop size to monumental scale.
